From you the public. One of Mother Dragon’s aims is to use what’s already in the supply chain. I would love to be able to design maternity clothes that are unique and ethically made but that’s a whole other business venture.
Quality is important when I’m curating what makes the shop floor. Unfortunately, many maternity brands are fast fashion brands so while I can’t change how the clothes were originally made or in the conditions they were made in, Mother Dragon uses the word quality to describe how their previous owns have taken care of the clothes. You can see exactly how I define preloved quality here. Remember, I won’t sell anything I wouldn’t be prepared to buy or wear myself.

To help you make the best selection, I will provide as much detail as possible. Each preloved maternity item will have a description including features, materials and most importantly measurements. Mother Dragon’s aim is to provide a curated collection of preloved maternity clothing, however, there are some exceptions. At times, you may see non-maternity pieces for sale. These items have worked so well during the previous owner’s pregnancy that they are worth presenting to you.
One other exception is ‘dead stock’; that is new stock that brands don’t want and are willing to throw away. Whether the clothes are preloved, non-maternity clothes or dead stock, all the information will be in the product description of each item.
